Reasons why today has been perfect
- People are cool and I saw a lot of the coolest ones today.
- I discovered that there is a history course being taught next term called “Social Change and American Popular Music” and it fits my schedule perfectly.
- The hilarious guy that always gives me discounts was working at the record store; he gave me three CDs for $13 and talked to me about the accuracy of Portlandia.
- While I was working on our mobile site for the Architectural Guidebook to Portland at work today, I misread “Failing Building” as “Fangirling Building” at first glance, which lead to me chuckling alone in my cubicle while thinking about what that would look like if it was an actual thing.
- I don’t have homework tonight so I can curl up on my floor and listen to “This is Water” for the millionth time like I’ve wanted to all week and also finally read more of Cat’s Cradle.
- I almost got run over by an old lady (they are seriously all out to get me) while I was crossing the street and texting Shelby lyrics from “The Hardest Part.” The great thing about this is how perfectly the headline would have summed up my life: “College girl hit while text-singing her best friend Coldplay lyrics.”
